Hybrid Solar Power Plant in Lebanon

Application
Solar diesel integration
The Context
- Product: ePowerControl HFS
The Edde Sands Resort Solar Integration project, aimed at reducing fuel consumption, was installed and commissioned by Clean Energy Solution s.a.l. (Lebanon).
This project integrates solar energy to reduce the resort’s dependence on multiple diesel generators, particularly during peak summer periods. Now, the resort operates a single 500 kVA generator during the day, with solar power meeting additional needs, enhancing energy efficiency and reducing costs.
The system uses ePowerControl HFS to optimize generator use alongside solar power, significantly cutting fuel consumption. It includes four Solax inverters totaling 480 kW and 787 JA Solar panels
totaling 429 kWp, with a 2,500A grid feeder ensuring stable power. This integration allows efficient switching between solar and generator power, maximizing energy production during daylight hours and reducing reliance on diesel generators.
- Layout:
- Inverters: 4 x 120kW SolaX inverters
- Panels: Panels: 787 x JA Solar panels
- Gensets: 5
