The Context
- Product: ePowerControl MC
During off-season, the system relies solely on PV + Battery. Genests are turned off in order to reduce fuel consumption, leading to:
– diminution of noise pollution
– reduction of carbon footprint
– easier logistics, as bringing fuel and genset-related equipment is a challenge for remote areas.
During peak-season the gensets become grid-forming in addition to the PV and battery system, which are switched to following mode, to match the increase in energy consumption.
ePowerControl MC eases the solar – diesel – battery integration and maximizes the solar penetration on this site, which represents about 30% of the energy need.
