Application
Commercial & Industrial
The context
- Product: ePowerControl MC
Dartel has equipped its new distribution center in
Renca, Santiago, with an advanced hybrid system
designed to ensure reliability, efficiency, and a
significant reduction in energy costs.
To maximize performance, ePowerControl MC has
been integrated as the central controller. This
system coordinates all energy sources, ensuring
operational continuity through the following key
functions:
- Grid Prime Operation: Prioritizes the use of
clean energy sources (PV and BESS), keeping
generators offline under normal conditions. - Automatic Start (Blackstart): In the event of
a grid outage, power is automatically restored
by activating the BESS in grid-forming mode. - Peak Shaving: Reduces energy imports from
the grid during periods of high demand,
optimizing electricity costs. - Smart Generator Management: Controls the
start and stop of generators based on
demand and BESS charge levels, minimizing
fuel consumption.
With this implementation, Dartel’s distribution
center positions itself as a benchmark for industrial
energy solutions in Chile, operating under a resilient,
cost-effective, and sustainable model.
