The context
- Product: ePowerControl HFS
In this project situated in Brazil, ePowerControl HFS was chosen to decrease fuel consumption at an off-grid mining site. The system boasts a total capacity of 850 kWp and 2250 kVA.
Elum’s solution offers flexibility, allowing the client to match the site’s growing capacity in several phases using the same hardware solution. Initially starting with 1 genset of 450 kVA and 110 kW inverters, it scaled alongside the project’s development.
On top of the ePowerControl HFS, our client added our monitoring software ePowerMonitor to visualize real-time production.
The main objectives are:
- Reducing the site’s fuel consumption by integrating solar and diesel systems.
- Ensuring that the diesel generators operate at no less than 30% of their nominal capacity during runtime, allowing the PV system to cover the remainder.
