Application
Solar-Diesel Integration
The context
- Product: ePowerControl HFS
As the local grid suffers from recurrent outages, the client wanted to reduce its dependence on it by using renewable energy.
This grid-tied solar power plant is equipped with 19 inverters and 4 Cummins diesel generators.
ePowerControl HFS has been added to the system to prioritize the use of renewable sources and allows the site to operate in two main modes:
- Grid-tied mode: When the grid is operating, the ePowerControl HFS manage the PV plant by prioritizing the solar energy over the grid and assuring the zero export.
- Off-grid mode : When the grid is down and the genset is on, the ePowerControl HFS maximize the PV penetration while ensuring the genset minimum loading.
- Layout:
- Inverters:
13 x Schneider conext CL 60E
5 x SMA SHP 100-20
1 x SMA STP core 1 50
Gensets:
5 x Cummins Power Command 3.3
