The context

  • Product: ePowerControl HFS

In Calama, a hybrid power plant, combining solar and diesel has been installed on a copper mine. This grid-tied site forms part of the Small Means of Distributed Generation (PMGD) programme. It consists of 8 inverters and 2 diesel generators with manual control.

The aim of this project is to reduce CO2 emissions and provide energy for medium-sized homes in Chile.

ePowerControl HFS has been added to the system to prioritize the use of renewable sources and ensures minimum genset loading.

The site is also equipped with ePowerMonitor, a monitoring platform that provides detailed monitoring of plant performance.
