Solar Power Plant of Atalaya

Atalaya, situated on the banks of the Ucayali River, stands among Peru’s numerous isolated cities without connections to the national electrification grid. The city primarily meets its energy demand through the Canuja Hydroelectric Plant and the Atalaya Thermal Power Plant.

The Solar Power Plant, integrated with ePowerControl HFS, facilitates the coordination between the Canuja Hydroelectric Plant and the Atalaya Thermal Power Plant. This controller prioritizes renewable sources and optimizes genset loading.

Comprising 1,260 400 W solar panels and 14 inverters, the Atalaya Solar Power Plant currently operates at 500 kWp and holds the potential for expansion to an additional 1,500 kWp in the project’s second stage.
