Solar Diesel Integration of an Agricultural Farm
Application
Solar diesel integration on a grid-tied farm in Brazil
The context
- Product: ePowerControl SD
In São Paulo, an innovative solar configuration has been installed on an agricultural farm in Monte Mor.
The 570 kWp grid-tied microgrid is coupled with 4 x 100kW GoodWe Inverters and 1,048 Canadian Solar modules. One genset powers 500 kVA on one side, and 300 kVA on the other.
This two-part project is divided between the barn and the silo of the farm, communicating using fiber optic.
ePowerControl SD has been added to the system. This allows the network to work not only in grid-tied mode, operating net metering to fit with project’s existing electric system, but also in islanded mode, where diesel consumption will be reduced during grid power supply shortages.
- Layout:
- PV: 570 kWp
- Gensets: 800 kVA
- Inverters: 4 x 100kW GoodWe
- Gensets: 2 (500 kVA + 300 kVA)
