The context
- Product: ePowerControl SD+
The washing plant in Sri Lanka faced challenges due to frequent power cuts and high fuel costs, leading to financial losses from the inability to supply energy to the national grid.
To address these issues, Regen Renewables proposed a solution to convert their existing solar system into a PV-DG hybrid installation. By integrating ePowerControl SD+, the system ensures optimal PV production while meeting grid requirements and operating the genset at minimum loading.
Since its commissioning in June 2022, the system has achieved an impressive 60% reduction in fuel consumption, alleviating the burden of diesel procurement.
