The context

A hybrid plant installation at Mali’s Goulamina Mine seeks to harness renewable energy sources and storage technologies to diminish reliance on traditional generators. To efficiently synchronize the BE) and facilitate seamless transitions between operational modes, the project adopts ePowerControl PPC. This system optimizes solar panel output in real-time to match power demand, ensuring maximal solar utilization while safeguarding generator performance.

ePowerControl PPC integrates Smart Spinning Reserve Functionality and PV generation forecasting, leveraging SkyCam feedback and satellite data for predictive solar panel adjustments. Moreover, it incorporates hot standby redundancy of the EMS, guaranteeing continuous operation and minimizing downtime.

Furthermore, the project incorporates an advanced SCADA system boasting web-client interfaces, historians, automatic alarms & reporting tools, and redundant servers. This SCADA infrastructure enhances monitoring and control capabilities, providing instantaneous operational insights for proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
